Exploration Portfolio

Exploration Activities

Sunrise has an interest in significant exploration acreage in the Cloncurry region in Queensland and Central West New South Wales. Both districts are home to some of Australia’s largest mineral resources and remain attractive targets for large, high-grade base metal and gold targets.

Queensland

We are partnering with Continental Copper to unlock new potential along the Clonagh Trend, north-east of Cloncurry, with Sunrise having the right to earn up to 75% of this venture:

  • An initial 31 hole air core drilling programme was completed mid-2025, with the aim of confirming the existence of a broad scale redox interface.

  • The air core program will provide data to support the next phase of drilling, targeting zones of enriched mineralisation.
  • Extensive geophysical analysis has been undertaken to map structural features across the district.

  • Phase One earn-in rights are $3 million for a 51% equity interest, with an option in Phase Two to spend a further $5m to acquire 75%. Continental Copper manages the exploration program during the Phase One earn-in.

New South Wales

Sunrise holds an extensive portfolio of exploration licences across the Lachlan Fold Belt in Central West NSW:

  • Exploration targets adjacent to the Sunrise Projects focuses on extensions to the scandium and nickel-cobalt mineralisation, as well as potential for platinum-group metals.

  • The Minore Project, near Dubbo, remains a promising target for rare earth elements, VMS-base metals and copper/gold targets.

  • Mining Lease 1769 (Westella) hosts a significant limestone resource within close proximity to the Project area and thus provides options for reagent supply if required.
